Our MissionÂ
At I Live 2 Give Charity, our mission is simple yet profound:
"To inspire and equip people to live generously,
creating a culture of giving that transforms lives and communities."
We believe that generosity is more than an occasional act—it’s a way of life. By helping families in crisis, empowering youth, and building stronger communities, we aim to turn compassion into lasting change.
WHO WE AREÂ
Founded in Bartlett, Tennessee, I Live 2 Give Charity grew out of a grassroots movement of neighbors helping neighbors. We saw how small acts of kindness—a meal, a backpack, a warm coat—could spark hope and open doors for families struggling to get by.
Today, under the leadership of Tamara Strickland, we continue that vision with organized programs and community partnerships, while keeping the same heart of generosity that started it all.
WHAT WE DO
We focus our work on areas where giving makes the biggest impact:
Family Care & Crisis Relief
Supporting households with food assistance, rent aid, and emergency essentials when life takes an unexpected turn.
Youth Empowerment
Providing mentorship, after-school programs, and access to supplies so children can focus on learning and dreaming.
Community Outreach
Organizing service projects, neighborhood improvement efforts, and seasonal drives that connect people through kindness.
Moments of Joy
Ensuring that children and families have reasons to celebrate, from birthday surprises to holiday meals that remind them they are not forgotten.
Our Core Beliefs

Looking Forward
Even though our annual gross receipts remain modest (under $50,000 for the 2024 tax year), our vision is expansive. Over the next five years, we plan to:
Expand our youth mentorship programs across Tennessee.
Build a network of volunteer “Giving Ambassadors” in each community we serve.
Launch a digital giving platform that makes generosity simple, accessible, and rewarding.
We are committed to transparency, accountability, and growth—ensuring that every dollar entrusted to us turns into real change on the ground.
